According to the specialized platform Statista, no fewer than one out of two professional investors around the world plan to increase the portion of their portfolios allocated to investments that comply with specific environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria in the next five years.
Only 9% of investors plan to reduce their portfolio’s exposure to ESG investments, while 3% are undecided and 4% do not invest in ESG securities at all.
On the other hand, about 34% already have ESG investments in their portfolios and intend to keep this allocation steady. Thus, in total, 84% of all professional investors worldwide are planning to maintain or increase their responsible investments between now and 2028.
